Taurus Bass Pedals

Introducing Bass Pedals – An endless source of wall-shattering subs, filthy bass drones and obese analogue tones!

Bass Pedals is a Kontakt instrument (full version required) powered by over 3200 meticulously recorded multi-sampled sounds.

Inspired by the sought-after Moog Taurus Mk1 bass synthesizer, Bass Pedals combines powerful analogue source sounds with modern sound shaping capabilities to create a versatile and fully programmable bass synthesizer.

Design

Synthesize your own ‘Taurus like’ sounds using Bass Pedals’ raw oscillators…

Design mode boasts two analogue oscillators (each with switchable saturated waveforms, one switchable sub oscillator, noise source and oscillator unison modes; capturing the essence and character of the original instrument.

Presets

The preset page delivers 28 extensively multi-sampled patches; designed and recorded from our vintage Taurus MK1 bass synthesizer.

All presets boast three round robin variations and long samples to capture the imperfections of the original instrument. Sounds can be further edited and mixed with Bass Pedals’ ‘raw oscillators’  to create unique ‘hybrid’ patches.

Effects

Onboard effects boast a programmable EQ, saturation, distortion, chorus, alongside specially created reverb Impulse Responses recorded from our Eventide DSP-7000 Harmonizer.

Control

A settings page gives you control over the instrument’s mono mode with selectable note priorities, portamento, pitch bend range, keyboard velocity and curve response. Just like the original Moog Taurus; Bass Pedals has been designed to be a monophonic instrument.
